Step 1:
Log into your SmartHost Customer Account
Step 2:
In the menu, hover over Domains and select Manage DNS
Step 3:
Click Add New Zone
Step 4:
In the Zone Name field, enter the domain you wish to change the DNS records of, excluding the www. (mydomain.ie for example)
In the IP Address field, enter your website hosting IP Address or 'A' record. You can get this from the hosting provider you wish your website to be hosted with.
Step 5:
From here, you can enter the required DNS records you need.
